Typo admin interface

Posted by tobi — 07:24 AM Apr 20

the next release of typo will feature the first stab at an HTML Admin interface.

Currently its not much more then scaffold in nicer cloths but its already very useful. Desktop clients will continue to be the preferred (-and more supported) way to post articles. The HTML admin will be useful to post from vacations or out of a friends house.

If you where planning to dive into the inner workings of typo or a rails project in general the admin interface is a good place to get started because of its scaffolding base. There are many little features needed like being able to sent trackbacks from the admin and similar things so the entry chance to get patches included are better then ever :)

Oh and don’t forget to subscribe to the mailing list.

Tobi, the RSS feed is giving incomplete URLs, leaving out the domain name completely. Can’t read the blog in Thunderbird. Regards, Dema

Hi, I recently stumbled across Typo, and tried to install it tonight (on Mac OSX Server) but wasn’t successful. I think part of it was my apache setup, but I was wondering if the recent changes in Rails have messed with Typo at all (specifically the Routes)?

Also, I have been planning a Rails app of my own, which is a combination blog/wiki/etc (basically just all of the web app featured I’ve always wanted), and am excited to see that Typo has implemented the XML-RPC backend, because thats something I want, but dont know too much about. You have some really neat features already that I will be looking at so that I don’t have to implement everything from scratch, and can focus on the unique features I have always wanted in my own app. =)
