That’s amazing. The kind of amazing that makes me almost want to be in advertising.

That is amazing. The Bently one is the best.

WTF is going on with Typosphere? Is Typo abandon-ware?

Hilarious ads, I haven’t seen the Bentley one before. Pity they are likey fake.

Haha, excellent! Now.. I always wondered why anyone would ever buy those ugly Subaru cars.. I didn’t realize they were renowned for their engines :) I guess they appeal to the car equivalent of computer geeks.. just care what’s under the hood than what it looks like :)

Excellent post Tobi… Very funny. <peter>Without a motor you better go on a sleigh ride.

The Subaru supercharged engine is one of the best in class. That’s why I love it and own it…</peter>

I’m not a fan of Subaru’s sense of style either but they are super popular cars in extreme temperatures. High up in the alps you will find many Subarus for example because they all come with 4 wheel and are very reliable.

I agree that Bentley takes the cake here though.

Just so the subtlety doesn’t get missed, Audi and Bentley are the same company ;)

    Audi FTW

LOL Trying everything to catch attention!

    Company? Or Corporation?

Not sure if there is a big difference in the native english community, but here there is a huge one =)

The subaru engine is turbocharged, and when the subaru STI is compared to similarly priced Audis or BMWs it beats them is every single performance aspect. That being said, they are ugly.

The weird thing about subaru’s claim here is that BOTH VW/Audi and BMW won more classes of the Engine of the Year award than Subaru. In particular:

    VW/Audi: 1.0-1.4l, 1.8-2.0l, Best New Engine BMW: 2.5-3.0l, 3.0-4.0l, 4.0+l, Best Performance Engine Subaru: 2.0-2.5l

    Makes subaru’s credibility pretty shaky.

Chuck your point – while true – is fairly meanlingless. It would be straightforward to set up a used audi or bmw or basically any car for that matter that would flatten an STI in every aspect of performance for the same total cost. Better yet, just get a motorcycle if pure price/performance is the game you’re after.
