Patrick Lenz just checked in two new converters to the typo trunk. You can now easily convert your wordpress and textpattern blogs to our humble blogging engine.
Following suit with the initial Movable Type 3.x converter for the typo weblogging engine all current users of WordPress and TextPattern may now convert easily as well.

Like David will ever switch. It’s ironic that the Rails site doesn’t showcase rails.

I basically just wanted to text teh Ajax :P

The rails site shows off a little rails. The documentation uses hieraki, which is built in rails. And I do think david will switch. He convert both loudthinking and the rails blog with the tools now.

I might consider switching from Wordpress in the future.
Something that could make Typo stand out from other blogging engines in my opinion would be excellent support for code snippets and automatic (configurable) syntax highlighting. That’s something I’ve missed in several blogging systems.
Of course this has to be standards compliant, using @lt;span@gt; tags to indicate tokens and style them appropriately for example.
Now that would be a killer feature for all the programmer-bloggers out there ;-)

Has anyone created an importer for blogger.com hosted weblogs?
